Well I’m tempted to get this device actually, props to Paul for submitting the review for us so promptly! He only got that thing in the mail yesterday!
So I was reading up the other day about this new game that SEGA released, called Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, which fascinates me due to the amount of characters in the game, especially the fact they went into detail to include the likes of Alex Kidd and the Bonanza Brothers! But where is Bin and Pin from Dynamite Dux? :(

Probably just as well as the main character from Altered Beast isn’t in it, right?

Who here has or is still playing Nethack? Then you might be in luck, as I think this is meant to be a remake of that game, free to download for OSX, Windows and Linux! Here’s some game footage:
Oh and it’s free!
Taco Bell in the states have a promotion where you buy a meal, and then get an Atari game at a price

Although I think that top left one isn’t meant to be Breakout.. Oh well! Still pretty cool, and they’re flash-based on CD.
Although I’d be pissed if I get any salsa allover this shirt..

Okay folks, I hope you have a great long weekend (if you live in South Australia), get a couple of hours in to play some video games, as it looks like the weather may not be on our side!

Hi folks, it’s humpday today. Middle of the week, not long to the weekend! So a workmate told me about this video here, as I was talking about how awesome Tetris is, and THE theme music (not only my ringtone) is also part of a new tradition when a lot of delivery boxes come to our office, we play the song loudly when we’re trying to fit the boxes up against the wall, so here’s the video my workmate told me about.
I love Japanese television ^_^ Whilst on the topic of videos, one I saw just before as I got home, which reminded me that I needed to buy Mega Man X again, is that I totally forgot about this kickass easter egg, being able to obtain the Ha-Dou-Ken as a power-up!
Capcom you’ve won my heart once again! Just as much as this Space Invaders quilt spotted on Flickr user Meowypants’ album.

Sure as hell beats mine:
but I still adore my quilt set, generic, but shows that I’m a retrogaming geek at heart! Although one thing I’d love to master, if I had a coffee machine at home, is this amazing photo from Deviant Art user Monkdrew:

Lots of time and effort put into that no doubt! As is hunting for cool gaming gear on eBay.. Luckily THIS item is available for “Buy It Now”:

So if you have a spare NES or SNES controller, you can go right ahead and plug that in to your Wiimote for almost-proper classic gaming on a new-gen console!
Speaking of content related to new-gen consoles (BUT HOPEFULLY retro games later down the track), Australia’s first Video Game bar, the Mana Bar will be opening to the public on Saturday 20th March 2010. So be sure to start booking those tickets to Brisbane now. This will be a big event no doubt.

OH wow, that is brilliant.. I wonder if that was to pay homage? Either way I’m impressed!!! :D

20 Mega Drive games
16 Original motion controlled games
And 14 New titles built in. All for £50 (so around AUD $150 give or take).
It’s just refreshing to see a somewhat-new SEGA console coming out in this millenium :P

Alright you lucky guys out there, here’s a great guide on how to get your girlfriend into gaming (if she isn’t into it already). This of course would apply to any console, be it old or new..

It’s amazing that people make things like this for newadays consoles, wait is that even a word? It should be! Either way, this is a perfect gift for any NES fan who owns a Wii.

Believe me, I was going apeshit (excuse the pun) when I saw this, then went “hold on.. no… no.. no. no It’s not real :(“

Do Re Mi Fantasy: Milon No Doki Doki Daibouken (Super Famicom)
Do Re Mi Fantasy: Milon’s Doki Doki Adventure (Wii Virtual Console)
Released 1996/2008

It is often said that a sequel is never better than the original. Have a look at Back to the Future 2, Oceans 12, or almost any horror movie sequel. As always there are exceptions to the rule, take The Empire Strikes Back for example. It’s a wonderfully crafted movie that has more flow & a better story than the original. I know it’s a point much argued among fans, but the general consensus is that it’s the best movie of the original trilogy. But I’m getting off topic here, where was I??

With the weather exceeding 40 degrees Celcius (105-109 degrees Fahrenheit), and being there at peak time (after school, after work), Marion Shopping Centre was a war zone! I’m luckily an efficient shopper when it comes to shopping centres. I was in and out of that place within 30 minutes pretty much. I only went for 6 reasons.
NOTE: I’m well aware that one is definitely not a retro title, and the other one being questionable, as it is new, yet faithful homage as opposed to a remake..
First it was the stop to GAME:

See what I meant by what I said in the note above? :) Okay last stop was Gametraders:

All four games worked! Meaning more games to review for you folk :)

Nintendo have released their classic games many times on many of their systems. From Super Mario All Stars on the SNES to the limited edition Zelda collection on the Gamecube, Nintendo have seized every opportunity to release their most popular games over & over again. The Wii added a new dimension, allowing you to buy games online & store them on the console itself. This way you don’t need a disc, or a cartridge to play your favourites. Just switch on the console, point & press the A button.
